A beauty and skincare store / Website design

A considered ritual.
A personal way in.

A beauty storefront that connects editorial product presentation with guided discovery and a basket that remembers.

We built two ways to shop: explore the collection directly, or start with a short consultation that translates preferences into a product profile.

Guided discovery and product selection
01 / THE CHALLENGE

A beautiful collection
still needs a way to choose.

Product presentation creates interest. Selection asks a different question: where should I begin?

The storefront needed space for its maison story and a shopping experience that could support both confident browsers and visitors looking for guidance.

We connected collection filters, search, a preference consultation and basket behaviour across a five-page website. The aim was to make the editorial identity carry through the practical parts of choosing products.

02 / THE STRUCTURE

Two ways to discover.
One experience.

Direct browsing and guided selection share the same product world. The visitor can start with a category or with their preferences.

01 / Maison

Establish the world.

Give the brand story a distinct editorial home within the storefront.

02 / Collection

Browse with intent.

Use categories and search to make the product range navigable.

03 / Consultation

Begin with preferences.

Translate a sequence of choices into one of four product profiles.

04 / Basket

Keep the selection.

Preserve items and quantities in the browser as the visitor continues exploring.

03 / GUIDANCE THAT CAN BE REVISED

Changing an answer
should change the result.

A consultation becomes unreliable if a previous answer continues influencing the result after the visitor replaces it. We revised the scoring so each question has one current selection.

The profile is calculated from those selections. Going back and choosing differently replaces the earlier contribution, rather than adding another score. That small piece of state management makes the experience behave like a consultation people can reconsider.

04 / CONTINUITY ACROSS THE STORE

Keep the ritual calm.
Keep the basket consistent.

Editorial browsing often means moving between collection, story and guidance. We made the basket persist locally so that navigation does not erase the products already selected.

The basket supports quantity changes, removal and recalculated totals. A downloadable summary provides a record of the selection. This build covers the storefront experience and basket state; it does not process payments.

05 / THE DELIVERY

Editorial in appearance.
Deliberate in behaviour.

The design and interaction work meet at the moment a visitor moves from appreciating the collection to choosing from it.

DISCOVERY

More than a product grid.

Search, categories and guided consultation offer different entry points into the range.

LOGIC

Results that reflect revisions.

Consultation scoring follows the latest answers, including changes made by going back.

CONTINUITY

A basket with memory.

Saved items and editable quantities connect browsing sessions within the same browser.

DELIVERED SCOPE

Five-page beauty storefront with collection filtering, search, a four-profile consultation and a persistent local basket.
