Residential HVAC website / Website design

Before the site visit,
understand the project.

A residential climate-services website that brings coverage, service selection and property details into one enquiry.

We gave FORME a technical visual identity and a practical enquiry process. The three-page website helps a homeowner describe the work and check the service area before preparing a request.

Service coverage and project enquiries
01 / THE CHALLENGE

An enquiry needs more
than a message box.

A new installation, a replacement and an unsupported service should not produce the same brief.

We organised the site around three tasks: understand the services, check the location and describe the property. Each has a dedicated place, with preparation guidance alongside the enquiry.

Graphite, warm white and vermilion give the website a workshop-like character. Condensed display type introduces the offer; compact technical labels organise the details.

02 / THE STRUCTURE

Service, location,
then project details.

We used a short site structure and gave the enquiry page more depth.

01 / Services

Explain the work.

The homepage combines service information, installation approach and practical FAQs.

02 / Coverage

Check the area.

A schematic map and postcode lookup put location ahead of the project brief.

03 / Scope

Make exclusions visible.

Commercial refrigeration triggers a scope notice instead of appearing to be a supported service.

04 / Brief

Review the request.

Service and location choices update a summary beside the form.

03 / COVERAGE

A location check
before a longer enquiry.

We paired the schematic coverage map with a postcode lookup. A recognised postcode produces a relevant response; a location outside the small dataset receives a separate explanation.

We kept coverage separate from availability. The lookup answers whether a place is in the example service area. It does not promise an installation date or assign an engineer.

04 / THE PROJECT BRIEF

Let people check
what they are asking for.

The summary updates as the visitor changes the selected service and suburb. We put it alongside the fields so the request can be checked without returning to an earlier page.

The installation-reference option reveals an included image. It gives the interface a concrete reference without pretending a file has been uploaded. Browser validation checks the required entries before the local preview appears.

05 / THE DELIVERY

Three pages,
one prepared enquiry.

We used the website to explain the service and structure the first conversation, without suggesting that a form can specify an HVAC system.

IDENTITY

A technical vocabulary.

Squared components, diagrams and restrained colour distinguish the service from a general home-improvement website.

SCOPE

An explicit unsupported state.

The form explains when a selected service falls outside the offer.

HANDOFF

A visible brief.

The request summary keeps service and property context together.

DELIVERED SCOPE

Self-initiated portfolio project: three pages, local postcode lookup, conditional service guidance and enquiry preview. FORME and its service records are illustrative. No live coverage service, equipment-sizing calculation, submission backend or measured commercial outcome.
