35 Client Reports Automated, Saving 4,200 GBP Monthly in Labour
A digital marketing agency was spending 140 hours a month manually producing reports for 35 clients from three data sources. Reports were late, inconsistent, and causing client friction. We automated the full pipeline.
What We Were Solving
The agency produced monthly performance reports for 35 clients. Each report required a team member to manually log into Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager and Search Console, export data, compile it into a branded PowerPoint template, add commentary, and email it to the client. The process consumed roughly 140 hours per month across the team. Reports were frequently late, sometimes inconsistent, and the manual nature meant errors were common. Two clients had noticed discrepancies between consecutive reports that were caused by different team members using different date range conventions.
Our Strategic Approach
We built an automated reporting pipeline that connects directly to Google Analytics 4, Meta Ads API and Google Search Console API. Data is pulled automatically on the first of each month covering the previous period. Reports are generated as branded PDFs using the agency design template with automatic chart generation, KPI highlighting and trend comparison against the previous period. A commentary section is pre-populated with data-driven insights that the account manager can review and customise before the report is sent. Delivery is automated on a configurable schedule.
